I've finally, at long last, managed to complete the first draft of Shadow's Messenger's sequel. This one felt like it took a long time to write even though it wasn't actually that long. No where near as long as Pathfinder's Way's first draft. Perhaps its just my perception that is skewed since I already have four or five books planned after this one.
It's always a relief to finish the first draft. There is still so much work left to be done on a book, but for me the first draft is always the biggest hurdle to climb. Today I climbed that mountain and though I can already see several mountains in my near future, it is nice to take a mini break before I dive back into it.
