Please, please, please keep Aileen independent. I love her refusal to bend to the accepted norms and the way she pokes holes in vampire assumptions of superiority. At the end of this book when Thomas gave her the keys, I had three reactions: set in onfire in front of his house, or sell it and give the money to the family of the girl Steven killed at the end. or leave it running in a bad neighborhood to be stolen. I just don't want her to change her view of the vampire world.
